Graduates of the B.S. in Computer Science at ECU will be prepared with an understanding of the need for life-long learning and with an awareness of cultural, societal, and professional issues.

The following outcomes support this objective by developing and reinforcing students' understanding of societal and professional issues at the time of graduation.

 

(e) An understanding of professional, ethical, legal, security and social issues and responsibilities.
 
(g) Students will acquire an ability to analyze the local and global impact of computing on individuals, organizations, and society.
 
(h) Students will acquire recognition of the need for, and an ability to engage in, continuing professional development.
