Students will acquire an ability to apply design and development principles in the construction of software systems of varying complexity. Complexity is divided into the classes Low, Medium, and High. (The assumption is that the student begins with the requirements already established.)

Outcome (k) contributes to objective 2.

Assessment

Vehicle: The CSCI 4230 capstone project.

Goal: At least 70% of students who passed CSCI 4230 received Satisfactory or Good on each of the following measures.

  1. (High, and medium complexity): Quality of system design. (rubric)

  2. (High, medium, and low complexity): Quality of implementation. (rubric)

  3. Quality of testing. (rubric)
