Students will acquire an ability to design, implement, and evaluate a computer based system, process, component, or program to meet desired needs.

Outcome (c) contributes to objective 2.

Assessment

Vehicle: Using the listed rubrics, the CSCI 4200 instructor will maintain a record of the evaluations of student work for each measure listed below, as well as samples for each of good, satisfactory and unsatisfactory student work.

Goal: At least 70% of students who passed CSCI 4200 received Satisfactory or Good on each of the following measures.

  1. Quality of documentation. (rubric)

  2. Quality of system architecture. (rubric)

  3. (Process level) Use of a life-cycle model to create a software project. (rubric)

  4. (Component level) Quality of classes. (rubric)
