CSCI 3650
Spring 2015

Announcements

You can bring two prepared sheets to the final exam. You can write anything that you like on them, on both sides.

I am not feeling well today (Tuesday, May 5) and will not be in for office hours.

Blank quizzes are available.

  1. Quiz 1
  2. Quiz 2
  3. Quiz 3
  4. Quiz 4
  5. Quiz 5

Due to loss of lectures to snow and ice and to difficulties with quizzes, I need to reorganize the quizzes.

There will now be 5 quizzes. The remaining two quizzes will take place on 4/14 and 4/23. I will drop the lowest quiz score.

I will use two weighting schemes between the quizzes and the final exam.

  1. In the first scheme, each of the 4 quizzes (after dropping the lowest) will count 12% of your grade and the final exam will count 25%, with the remaining points allocated as described in the syllabus.
  2. In the second scheme, each of the 4 quizzes will count 8% of your grade and the final exam will count 41% of your grade.
I will compute both scores and then take the maximum. (It sounds like dynamic programming, doesn't it?)
