Goal
The main goal of this course is to explore the relational database model, with special emphasis on the design and querying of relational databases.

Required Work and Grades
Students are expected to attend all the lectures and to finish all the assignments. Grades will be based on midterm, final exam, assignments and in-class quizzes. No late assignments will be accepted. No makeup for quizzes. Final exam will be comprehensive. Class work will be counted as follows.The following table gives the percentage of points needed for the associated final grade:
- Assignments - 40%
- Midterm exam - 20%
- Final exam - 30%
- Quizzes - 10%
A 90-100%
B 80-89%
C 70-79%
D 60-69%
F below 60%
