Goal

This 3-credit course is intended for graduate students who have already completed an introductory undergraduate database course; the goal of this course is to explore in-depth theoretical and practical issues of advanced database management system.

Note that, except for the exam schedules, everything else on this schedule may change as we progress to reflect the pace of the class.


Required Work and Grades

Students are expected to attend all the lectures and to finish all the homeworks/projects. Grades will be based on midterm, final exam, and homeworks/projects. Final exam will be comprehensive. Class work will be counted as follows. The following table gives the percentage of points needed for the associated final grade:
